L’expression de la temporalité en français est assurée par des marqueurs aspectuo-temporels, notamment les tiroirs. Dans le système verbal, plusieurs tiroirs de l’indicatif entrent en concurrence dans l’expression du passé, entre autres, l’imparfait. Notre étude de ce tiroir, codant les instructions suivantes : passé, inaccompli, non autonome est fondée sur le modèle de la Sémantique de la temporalité SDT (Gosselin, 1996).
